The Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals

The Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals began in 1974. The starting objective of the organization was to help nurture animals and to help people connect with animals in such a way that they were not only pets, but also, members of the adopting family. SISCA is located in the Miami Valley area of Ohio near Dayton and Kettering, Ohio. It is a nonprofit group that finds homes for 1,400 animals on average every year. It helps to control the stray dog and cat population by spaying and neutering about 2,000 cats and dogs each year. It accepts donations from those wanting to support the Society, it accepts vehicle donations directly from donors, all required paperwork are done electronically; funds go towards implementing the Society’s agenda.
